Pieces to Picture
Are you a piece - or the whole picture?
The System Picture Framework is one thing to understand. Pieces to Picture is where you put it into practice, with a room of the people who actually hold your system between them. It runs as three half-day sessions, each one building on the last.
Who it's for: For anyone responsible for making a system work better - leaders, practitioners and managers working across partnerships, multi-agency settings, or the community and voluntary sector.
Pieces to Picture can run at whichever level fits your system. That might be inside a single organisation, looking at how your own services fit together. It might be one organisation and the partners closest to it, looking at where that organisation sits in the wider system. Or it might be a whole partnership, working on the complete picture together.
Half Day 1 - Understanding the Puzzle: See your own piece clearly - what you deliver, where your edges are, what you reach out with, and what you need from others that you don't currently ask for. Meet all five elements of the framework, and start naming the gaps and conditions already sitting in the room.
Half Day 2 - Building the Picture: Come back together to address those gaps directly, build the shared vision - the box - as a group rather than assume it, and leave with clear commitments: one action, one person, one date each, plus what you need to ask for beyond the room.
Half Day 3 - Applying the Picture: Map the whole system together, layer by layer, to see where it's working, where governance is missing, and where the gaps really sit. Agree what needs to change, and who needs to see it.
If this feels like a good fit, get in touch - we can talk through what it would involve for your organisation.
